OOTW: Black and White
There's something about matching opposite colors that I love. This week I decided to pair a black t-shirt with white denim pants. This outfit was very comfortable, yet stylish. The pants aren't just basic white denim. They have a splash of detail that's pretty funky. Details and photos below. Shoutout to my 9-year-old niece for her stellar photography skills.
Shoes: Forever 21
The funny thing is, I got every piece of this outfit just by chance. The top was purchased because I needed something to wear to work and I forgot to do laundry. So, I woke up the next day and bought a basic black t-shirt. The shoes were purchased because my sandals broke when I was out and I just so happened to be a block away from Forever 21. I didn't feel like spending a lot of money on shoes when I had more at home. So, I got these shoes for under $20. The jeans were randomly given to me by my sister. I walked into my room and found them on my bed.
That's the key to building your wardrobe. You don't have to go on shopping sprees every weekend. There's beauty in piecing together random clothes you didn't expect to even buy or wear.
How do you build your wardrobe? Do you slowly increase it piece by piece or are you more of a bulk buyer?
